Emily has successfully taught herself to play the melody of "76 Trombones" (from The Music Man) on her little Casiotone piano. Quite an ear, she's got.

Today, Emily recited Psalm 23 from memory. She's got at least a 10-year head start on her old man! :-)

A fresh, cold braeburn apple and a hunk of smoked gouda cheese has GOT to be one of the GREATEST breakfasts in the world. The flavor combo is downright earthy.

Last book we read: "Dumbing Us Down" by John Taylor Gatto. If you want your children to turn out to be helpless automatons, products of the "Mass-schooling machine," then DON'T read this book. It's for counter-culturists only.

This is our first jump into the waters of "blogging." I'm not sure what's going to show up here from day to day, but it's a good place to start, to find out what's going on with us. Speaking of water, we're off to a fountain park with the kids.
